soll ich hier etwas schreiben? Liest das jemand? Genau den Duschkopf habe ich gekauft. Die fehlende Kröpfung ermöglicht es mir nicht den Duschkopf horizontal auszurichten. Dabei habe ich doch eine Grohe Wandhalterung. Aber man kann sie nicht waagerecht stellen. Selbst wenn ich sie waagerecht stellen könnte, dann wäre da ja eine Knickbelastung auf dem Schlauch. Wodurch er schneller altert und auch ständig gegen die Wand schabert. Was für eine Fehlkonstruktion! Und das nennt sich dann Made in Germany. Eine Schande ist das! Diesem Duschkopf fehlt eine 30 Grad Kröpfung. So einfach ist das!

So I’m not the only one that thinks Grohe stuff is now rubbish. Original German Grohe used to make about the best plumbing products available, then they took over a Chinese manufacturer and in 2014 sold out to a Japanese multinational. Bought a tap/faucet recently and it’s the first one in 40 years that was cracked and leaking straight out of the box ! Just trading on the name now, like so many other crap producers !

The installation video shows the rain shower button installed on the left side and the handheld shower button on the right. Later in the "operating the system" section the buttons are reversed. Which button controls which showerhead?

Yeah new version vs old wrt cutting the spindles and a really ambiguous step 14 that I interpreted as remove the locks, made me cut mine too short. Would have been helpful for the new videos to warn about the different cutting procedures. Now I have to find replacement spindles, which of course have no product number and only seem to come with replacement valves. :(

More a question than a comment. I just purchased the essence Smart Control faucet. Love the functionality, but I want to increase the flow rate from 1,75 GPM to 2,0 or 2,2. I found the yellow flow restrictor. Is there a part that moves this up to 2,0 or 2,2?

Well the video makes it look so easy. Not quite as straigtforward and thanks to those who added some useful comments. On my K7 the cartidge nut is 30mm and fortunately I had a socket this size in my inventory. After installing the new cartridge it leaks badly directly through the cartridge and not around it. Contacting Grohe Canada for assistance.

My faucet is Grohe K7. it's neck shape is bent almost 85-90 degree angle. I cannot insert the metal replacement hose (part no: 46174000). Are there any solution?

I had a new idea. All faucets must be connected to the tap water and if the water is cut off, water will not come from the faucet. It would be very interesting if it is possible to make faucets that do not need to be connected to tap water and can still meet people's needs with water from a tank when the water is cut off. And if the taps are in a state where they pour water like a dropper, even one liter of water can be used to do everything and a lot of water will be saved.

Why why why. 12mm- 14mm ? How about you pick a size that comes standard. And how about using tapered threads so that the threads make the seal, not some stupid glorified teflon tape. This is a garbage install, always hate them. As a plumber, never recommend

what is the max flow rate for the fixed shower head?

why does this thing need 3 screws at the top? Other retrofit shower kits (Moen, Kholer) do not. And the recommended hole size was too small for the provided anchors. They said 5/16 or 8mm and now I have a broken tile. Now I have to try and remove the broken tile and match it. Should have gone with the 3/8" as someone else suggested. I should have listened. 3 hours in and I'm nowhere near done. This is going to take all day. What do you think I quoted for install fee? Yeah, live and learn. [next day] o.k. I replaced the broken tile and drove across town to find the matching grout. Back again. Made a 3/8" hole at the top, and now the insert goes in. New problem: the screw is too long and it hits the pex pipe at the back of the dog ear. Solution: cut 1" off the screw and 1" off the insert. Thanks Grohe.... you didn't know that some homes have pex and are plumbed through the ceiling? [3rd day] finally finished. Now I understand the system better. The wall inserts are a terrible idea and do not do what is needed. Wall inserts are strong along the face of the tile, either downward or upward or sideways directions. Wall inserts are never strong in an OUTWARD direction, so this is a very bad idea. If the hole is tight enough, the tile breaks. If the hole is loose, there is no outward force. Anyone grabs this thing it will pull right out of the wall. I did a quick fix by putting a lot of silicon in the hole and everywhere else, and it dried overnight and it is firm now. But this is not ideal. Toggle Bolts is what is needed, but finding them in stainless steel is difficult and also you need a 2-sided machine screw for the top ones, as well as probably a 2-nut system at the top (lock nuts, etc.) Kohler has a better attachment system, they give you a special plastic toggle bolt you push it in the hole and there is a string when you pull the string it flares out against the back of the tile then you put in the screw and it is very strong. That's what is needed here.

It does not work. Tried it today with American standard valve. Same valve and cartridge. Had to take a wall off to fix it.

Need a slower motion on secure faucet. Too fast and the angle camera work is poor.

The shank is protruding much more than in the video, so tightening the locknut will be easier with a deep socket. Also make sure all residue of the old gasket is removed before installing the inlet hoses to avoid any leaks

How do I run the plumbing for only 2 body sprays? Cause the balancing loop pictured in the video doesn't make sense for only 2 sprays.

My K7 is also jammed and won't turn easily and cannot come off; how would you recommend solving this issue? I brought a plumber who was also not able to release the swivel arm from the faucet. I used the bicycle lube a couple of times but it keeps jamming and the mounting screws get loose each time the faucet is jammed.
